What the website of an Estonian OÜ is expected to show
When a company is run from abroad and has no office in Tallinn, the website carries most of the trust. An Estonian company is expected to state on its website its legal name exactly as it appears in the Estonian Business Register, its registry code and its address. If the company is VAT-registered, the VAT number is added as well (format: EE followed by nine digits).
We place these details in the footer and on the contact page, and repeat them as structured data (Schema.org Organization) so that search engines connect the site to the right legal entity. Before launch we compare everything with the public register entry. The most common mistake we see is the company name spelled one way on the site, another way on invoices and a third way in the register.
If you sell to consumers, the site also needs terms of sale, a returns procedure and a clear statement of whether prices include VAT. Your lawyer or service provider confirms the wording. Our job is to put these documents where they belong and make sure they are visible during checkout.
